Do I need an iPhone Duo?
No. Bothie is designed around iPhone Duo's inner and outer displays, but it runs on any iPhone or iPad with iOS 17 or later, and on Android phones, foldables and tablets with Android 8.0 or later. Capturing both cameras at once needs hardware that supports simultaneous front and rear cameras (iPhone XS, iPhone XR and newer, or supported Android 11+ phones); other devices use a full-size single camera.
Is Bothie available on Android?
Yes. It’s called DuoCamera on Google Play: get it here. The Android app has the same dual camera, looks, photo editor and Pro features, and its layouts keep clear of the fold on foldable phones.
Can I record video with the front and back cameras at the same time?
Yes. In Video mode both cameras record together into one synchronized clip, stacked or side by side in the order you choose. Photos work the same way.
What is Creator mode?
A third mode beside Photo and Video, made for posting. One take saves a 9:16 video and a 16:9 video, each with both cameras, so the same clip works vertical and widescreen. It adds a teleprompter that never appears in the video, layout and camera changes while you record, pause, Reaction videos over a clip you import, and an editor to trim, cut, split, mute and caption. Captions are made on your phone or typed by hand. Creator mode is part of Pro: you can open it and set it up for free. It's on iPhone and iPad now and coming soon to Android.
Can I save the front and back shots separately?
Yes. By default Bothie saves one combined image or video. Turn on “Save front and rear separately” in Settings to get two files instead.
Where are my photos and videos stored?
On your device, inside the app, until you save or share them. On iPhone and iPad, Bothie only asks for add-only Photos access. On Android, saved captures go to a DuoCamera album in your gallery.
What's free, and what does Pro add?
Free includes unlimited photos and videos, every look, the core editing tools, and full-quality saving with a small watermark. Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, and removes the watermark, adds Creator mode (iPhone and iPad for now) and Enhanced light and Night on supported cameras, and unlocks every editing tool.
